What does the future hold for Rivers State?
In the short video, Ebenezar explores the opportunities and challenges ahead as Rivers State approaches 2050, a year by which Nigeria is expected to become the third most populous country in the world. From population growth and urbanisation, to energy transition and youth unemployment, he underscores the need for citizen-led, intergenerational development planning.
The video also offers a call to action for Rivers people, especially young people, to co-create the future through tools like the ongoing Rivers 2050 Survey, Focus Group Discussions, and the development of the Rivers 2050 Vision Book.
